Youth Programs

IHCYR offers youth programs, including horse camps, Bible camps, field trips and birthday parties.

We also have opportunities for group field trips or horse care educational classes.

Youth ranch lesson fees/ dues for 2012 are as follows: $5.00 Volunteer only

$30.00 Group Riding These fees support the horses in our care at ihcyr.

Email in 24 hours advance to attend or cancel any youth ranch activities or lessons.

Current insurance required for volunteering and riding instruction.

Dues to participate in Youth Ranch Activity per month - $5.00 .

Dues and 1 group riding instruction lesson per month - 1st Saturday of each month 1-4pm (Check the Home page for any changes, closures or make-up dates)

All instructors during the youth ranch hours are volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for their time and teaching. This is a year round program

Private Instruction - youth ranch horses are supported through private instruction

The instructor pays a user fee that goes directly to the care and support of the horses. This is a year round program.

Please pay your instructor directly for any private instruction. User fees are paid by the instructor to ihcyr for using the school horses/rescue horses.

Saddle Up Classes - Please pay your instructor directly for your instruction. User fees are paid by the instructor to ihcyr for using the school horses/rescue horses. This is a year round program.

Insurance and 2011 Release Forms

Due Feb 1 for 2012 - 2013 year

$10.00 Learning for LIfe (youth up to 14yrs)

$15.00 Venture Crew (youth 14 and older)

$15.00 Adult Volunteers working with youth

Insurance is necessary for any one who participates in any activities.

Horse Leasing - 100% goes to the support of the horses.

Requirements for any leasing are:

1. Need to be in some form of lesson with that horse,

2. Care for the needs of your leased horse, this will vary depending on the type of lease - full, partial or daily.

3. Approved Lease Application

4. Guidelines:

A. Clean your horses stalling area,

B. Check your horses water.

C. Blanket, fly mask as is needed,

D. Grooming, cleaning hooves, cool out

E. LOTS OF LOVE!
