 Lessons through the month of January by appointment with your instructor.

 

Youth Ranch is on the first Saturday of the month from 1:00 - 4:00pm

Past events:

December 2011 - Mini Horse Cart at Peterson AFB in the Tierra Vista Community.

October 14, 2011 Peterson AFB - Sharing the horses,Georgie,  goats, rabbits, Burro, miniature horses for the Military Families with Tierra Vista Communities at Peterson AFB National Night Out.  Food Drive for a local food pantry that assists Military families.  Anyone interested in serving the Military and helping with this effort and helping with face painting please email us.  We will need specific information by the Monday prior to the event to have visitor passes.  This event begins at 3:00 and ends at 5:30. Set up time will be by 1:00.

 

  Watch for upcoming clinics and shows for 2012 - partnering with Armada Bay

 

IHCYR will be participating with the shows, clinics and events at Armada Bay.  Lease one of the school horses for the day and enjoy the day of events.

 

1. Reserve your leased horse for the event

2. Fee for the lease day for the school horse

3. Supervision is provided by IHCYR for events

4. Support the horses by leasing your horse for the day!

 

 

Armada Bay Cattle Club and IHCYR  (right across Meridian from Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch) is beginning the cattle work!  NO TRAILERING NECESSARY! A clinic with Tom Mowery is mandatory the cost is $75.00 per Armada Bay Cattle Club.

 

1) Become a monthy member of the  Armada Bay Cattle Club (ABCC) for $50.00/month. Includes at minimum 4 sessions of at least 2 hours of working cattle in the arena.   You would be able to do this as part of your youth ranch lesson on the first and 4th Sat of each month, and lease your horse the additional Saturdays iT IS MANDATORY TO BE AT LEVEL 2 TO LEASE A HORSE AND PARTICIPATE IN THE CATTLE CLUB.  This would be the most economical method if your are truely interested in working with cattle. 

 

2. Participate in Sat. sessions for a fee of $20 each session. 

IHCYR - you may use the school horses  - please schedule in advance.REMEMBER, YOU MUST BE A LEVEL 2 AND BE IN 1 LESSON WITH THE HORSE YOU ARE LEASING.     The ABCC fee for the cattle - $20.00 and the youth ranch dues/LEASE  that support the youth ranch horses will follow the normal dues/fees.  

 

3.  You MUST sign up in advance by emailing us at ihcyranch@yahoo.com, horse availablity, rider ability must be approved.

 

 

 

Private lessons will continue as scheduled at the ranch.
